It can be sad packing away all those lovely Summer items you’ve only just purchased. Last minute sale find? Best Summer buy ever? Well, there may still be time… if you just change how you style them up!

Oh hey there Autumn
I love a Season change and Autumn is one of my favourites. It’s still not hats, gloves and scarf weather but it’s definitely chilly enough to wear a cosy jumper and perhaps even a hat (hello my extensive collection of beret’s! I see you waiting for me…)
However, one thing that can be annoying about all these pesky season changes is that we can’t wear the same clothes, this is even more annoying when those items are new too – it feels like SUCH a waste. BUT, I have realised with both age and the advice of my very stylish Mother that actually… you can be creative with clothes and it doesn’t always mean they need to be packed away for next year. I have changed the way I look at some of my wardrobe, pictured it with a chunky knit, a darker shade and oh yes… we have some new transitional pieces that work in whatever season I want them too.
So, here it is.. my first in a series of ‘Styling For The Season’ and today I’m featuring my lovely linen Free People jumpsuit, because this babe is both comfy, cute and very on trend. Let me know if you enjoy this post and I will definitely work on some more!

Wear with knitwear
I love how a jumpsuit looks over a tshirt but also.. it looks even better over a thick jumper!
This would look amazing with a thick brown knit underneath, keeping the colour theme going with some brown ankle boots
and a leopard print hairband, just for a pop of fun.
Wear with a jacket
A denim jacket always works well for Autumn and if you’re finding your jumpsuit is a bit chilly, pop on a long sleeve tshirt under it and a jacket over it! I love this casual feel with the checked converse trainers too, very on trend and great for a day out in London (or a day shopping…) A bag for a cheeky pop of colour is always my go-to in the colder months too!

Wear with a touch of glam
Of course we can still party in Autumn! A jumpsuit is perfect for a glam evening out, a special meal or even a Wedding. I would pair this one with a gold sequin jacket (but if you have a black jumpsuit, a pop of colour would be amazing too!) a matching gold bag, this one from Topshop is so very cool. Of course though, I have to add a little pattern pop somewhere and I just adore these leopard print heels – funky but also look practical too! Finished off nicely with a very fancy headband, I love how these can change up a look!
Wear with All Black
If you’re unsure on how to style an item up, all black is always a safe option! This works really well for this jumpsuit as it’s a lighter shade, so the darker black helps to “Winter it up” a little. I also love nude tones with black too. Aviator jackets are everywhere again this Autumn and I love how they look but also, how warm they keep you! This one is perfect but of course if it’s a little high for your budget, Primark do some amazing alternatives!
