It’s time to be brave, so this girl picked up some red & yellow clothes…

Red & Yellow
If you watch my YouTube videos, you’ll know that recently I am embracing (and being brave) when it comes to wearing more colour. I’ve done pretty well so far, embracing much more brighter statement pieces into my wardrobe but these do mostly consist of pinks, blues and lilacs. One thing I have noticed on my new colour journey? I always avoid red and yellow. I’m not sure why but I’ve never really been drawn to these colours as much as some of the others. I tend to feel that red isn’t my shade and yellow doesn’t go well with my complexion…
Then Riva Fashion got in touch and asked if I wanted to work on a post with them. They are the leading online fashion store in the Middle East and whilst browsing through the New In section, these red and yellow clothes caught my attention. The website is filled with funky, on trend pieces and to be honest, every time I visit… I want something else! My advice would to definitely check out the jeans, they fit really well and are super comfortable. So, what did I pick up?…

The Red
This red gingham smock top is the perfect addition to my wardrobe. The gingham pattern breaks up the colour, making it much softer and more versatile – perfect for a casual daytime look. I wore mine with relaxed, boyfriend style jeans which again I love mostly for their casual, relaxed feel.
Keeping it co-ordinated, I went with these lovely red sandals. These are perfect for Summer and will go with alot more outfits than you might think – black, white, pink… the list goes on. I also love the texture of these shoes, little discs make them 3D and they bring such a fun feel to the outfit. Lastly, I finished it off with a colour-clashing bag, of course… in yellow!

The Yellow
Yellow is definitely a bright wardrobe addition and whilst you might feel you have to be brave… it’s actually perfect for Summer, not to mention massively on trend! I love this yellow hoody style top, the top section a soft cotton material and the bottom being a shirt-like ruffled detailing. The mix of hoody and shirt definitely makes this top very interesting and I love how it looks with these tassel jeans. The tassel colours are again keeping in with my new found love for red and yellow, with a few little additions of course. I would happily wear these with a white/black tshirt tucked in too. I’m all for statement jeans right now!
I finished this outfit off with some nude pumps, of course with some fun additions – I love the 3D element of these shoes too. These would look very cute with some skinny jeans and a cream jumper, plus they’re really comfortable!

This post is in collaboration with Riva Fashion, all thoughts my own – of course!
Lovely post! I love wearing color. I always find myself avoiding red as well.
