Don’t Waste It

Today guys, I’m discussing jewellery! Specifically pieces you can wear not only on your wedding day but also easily transition into your daytime wardrobe too…

Not just for your wedding

Weddings. You spend an awful lot of money (and energy) on things such as dresses, flowers and of course, jewellery. Once the day is gone these things are usually packed away in boxes and most definitely never worn again (except maybe after a few bottles of wine and a post-wedding blues mood) So, when Thomas Sabo got in touch asking me to feature some pieces that would not only be perfect for your wedding day but also afterwards too, I couldn’t resist!

Thomas Sabo have been on my radar for a while. Whilst searching for sentimental wedding day presents for my Mum I came across their website and ordered a little bracelet instantly. Perfect, timeless pieces – which also made this collaboration a dream. Not only that, they have an incredible collection of bridal jewellery and eternity rings for women – I could literally spend all day scrolling through their pieces!

So, what did I choose?…

Classic Studs

White Studs, £45

The studs are a basic all-rounder, these little beauties are perfect for a special occasion such as a wedding but can also be worn afterwards, too. They are such a classic style they tend to go with any outfit whether it be formal or just a casual trip to Tesco which let’s face it, happens more often than the ball gown events do! Sometimes Wedding jewellery can be glitzy, big and it’s so easy to go a little over the top. However if you have a fancy up-do, perhaps a tiara/flower crown, keeping the earring style simple is definitely the way to go and it creates it’s own understated statement.

Is there anything more classic than a pair of beautiful stud earrings? I think not. This is why I knew it was the perfect choice for a piece that could be worn for your special day and after it too. For that reason alone, it’s also the perfect gift for your Bridesmaids too.

Necklace, £198

This necklace instantly caught my eye. It does have a classic style to it, but also has a hint of modern vibes with the sparkly disks. This is the perfect necklace for a wedding dress with a low back, wear it higher at the front and low at the back – perfect for when everyone’s watching you standing at the end of the isle! Of course, I don’t even have to explain why this necklace is also perfect for after your wedding either, it’s just so easy to wear. Pair it with an all black outfit to make it stand out, a chunky knit for something special or just wear it over the last of the Summer dresses – perfecto!

This outfit is just full of fun isn’t it? I’ll admit that when I ordered these lace up jeans, it was definitely more for fun than seriousness. I jusssst wanted to experiment a little… however, I ended up loving them so much. They’re surprisingly flattering and I’ll admit, it’s just so nice to have something different in my wardrobe, they spice up any outfit immediately. I paired them with my new embroidered t-shirt and I love how it looks as a whole. Also how amazing are the colours in this cute tee? I think I’ll wear it SO much.

Obviously this bag is a big ol’ hunk of beaut. I love circle shaped bags at the moment and I knew this one would tie in with both the t-shirt colours and also the necklace shape too. I went for my good ol’ Primark silver slip ons (best sandals I own!!) and My Blue Raybans from Sunglasses Shop. I’ll admit that since owning these Raybans I have wanted to splurge and just buy every single colour – they’d be great for outfits but also look cool on a shelf! Ha! Pink is next on the list for sure!

Love the photography in this post! Think my favourite piece has to be the earrings 🙂 x
