3 SHOES, 3 WAYS

I’m always up for a fashion challenge, even more so when it includes styling three pairs of shoes for under £100…

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes.

Recently a brand called Ego got in touch, they asked me to create a post featuring three different outfits inspired by three pairs of shoes from their collection. A fashion challenge is always one I’ll accept and I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. I decided to go for three completely different styles of shoe, to show you guys how easy it is to buy from a high-street brand and create a super on-trend outfit for every occasion. So, let’s see what you can do with three pairs of shoes for under £100…

The Long Boot

The newest trend to date in the boot world, the over-the-knee, aka the long boot. This is the perfect style boot for Winter if you’re wanting to wear cute dresses and frilly skirts. They add sass and keep you warm, on-trend and practical works well for me! I really like mixing it up with long boots and always feel that this type of shoe gives me so much more to work with when it comes to my wardrobe! Sometimes I am put off wearing skirts purely because of footwear, I find it super difficult to find something flattering that still gives me the look I’m after. Long boots do just that, they don’t shorten your leg and they give a little interest to any outfit! Perfection.

The Statement Boot

The Statement Ankle boot is the perfect addition to any outfit. Fancy wearing all black but fancy a pop of colour? Pop on a patterned, statement ankle boot. Here I matched the colour of the boots to my outfit and because these boots basically incorporate SO MANY different colours it’s super easy. In fact, I felt inspired to create a cool outfit because of these boots – so they have a lot to answer for! If you do like more subtle patterns though, there’s plenty of those on offer too. Perhaps a simple black boot with a silver pattern is more up your street? For me, I love using this to add some colour to my mono-chrome wardrobe and it’s even better for those who don’t feel so brave with colour and patterns!

The Lace-up Heel

Something elegant, on-trend and flamin’ sassy are Lace-up heels! I love these for an evening outfit and they are perfect for adding the finishing touch to something slightly casual, like these culottes for example! This style of trouser can be worn really well with trainers but also extremely eye-catching for the evening with the correct footwear. I especially love these ones because of the fluffy finish, which is so Spice Girls inspired and that is SO up my street. I did go for a more wearable colour with tan though, but feel like it’s the perfect mix.
