Looking for a special dress or ball gown can be really daunting, especially if it’s something you don’t wear often. Don’t worry though, I’ve found the remedy…

You guys know I love a “Princess dress”, I may like my black leather jackets & chunky boots.. but yes, I do like being girly too! This dress is one of those amazing quality, disco sparkly ball gowns and I just absolutely love it. A floor length trail that pinches you in at the waist is the best type of dress, always. Basically, this isΒ the dress I wish I could have worn to my Prom but when I was 16 the choice was extremely limited, unlike you lucky girls now! I’ll have to save it for my next ball gown event… or my first one, rather. For now though, prancing around a very cold and very empty field would do, and I enjoyed that just as much! Well, until my hands turned numb.
When David’s Bridal got in touch to work on a post I have to admit, pretty much every dress stood out to me on the website. They pride themselves on dressing women for all occasions whether it be your wedding (there are some beautiful bridesmaid dressesΒ too!)Β prom, formal events such as charity balls or awards ceremonies, graduations and so on. The photos online are also true to life which makes a huge difference, especially if you’re ordering yourself aΒ special dress. If you’re after something special, go take a little look, butΒ beware, you will not leave empty handed!
I decided to pair this glitter ball number with pink accessories, because.. why not!? Pink adds a slight girly twist on the whole outfit, and I think it helps make this beautiful gown come to life. These ASOS heels may well be my inner Barbie, but I just find them so pretty and can imagine they will be so good for Summer. Lastly, the lovely lady over at Crown & Glory hand-made this amazingΒ headband for the shoot, and I think it adds a brilliant touch of fun. I think it’s really nice to be able to add a splash of colour into an outfit, even if it’s for a special occassion! If you want to stay on the safe side you could always add a pink lipstick to get the same effect.

IΒ love pink and I’m not afraid to say it. I feel that as a female if you like pink it’s all a bit girly (especially when you’re from Essex!) butΒ it’s really okay to like pink – even more so when it comes to shoes. So in celebration of pink itself, here are some of my little pink picks in accessory form.

You look absolutely gorgeous!
