DARKSIDE

Now, I don’t tend to visit the hairdressers too much. I like my hair easy to manage and long, which currently means I probably need a dye job/cut once a year (not even joking..) Until last month, when it all went a bit wrong…

So yes, a few months ago I had a slight hair mishap. My regular hair stylist was having an off day and left me with a very stripy (a slight understatement) ombre. Needless to say after a refund and a “I am never coming back” call, I was left with a bit of a problem. After visiting another local salon for a quick fix before my holiday, I was again left slightly unsatisfied with my locks and realised that it was becoming a bit of a pain – I felt like I was living in hair salons that I didn’t really trust, drinking coffee I didn’t want and leaving feeling worse than I did when I walked in. Is it possible to develop a phobia of salons?!

Long story short, this week I visited Toni & Guy at Lakeside and the lovely Abby sorted my locks right out. Have to say, Abby put me at total ease and was a pro. She fixed the mane! I wanted something more ‘grown up’ & less bright blonde as it didn’t feel right with my pale skin tone (and well, I’m far too idle to fake tan) Yep, I have joined the darkside, and I like it. Mwahahaha!

The top is a chocolate brown which has slight red undertones, this then fades into a cool, ash brown – I even think the ends look a bit grey and I love that. So I’m calling this the chocolate ombre, and I hope you like it as much as I do!
