Recently I was asked by New Look to style an outfit for a particular era, in conjunction with their Fashion Flashback timeline. Obviously, with the recent 70’s trend, I chose to style up an outfit for this era, say hello to floral prints, flowy tops and big hats. I tried to style an outfit that I would actually wear, rather than just for fashion.. because you know I prefer to dress for me, so I think I did quite well here. Firstly, I chose this beautiful lace off the shoulder top which is just perfect for Summer – it also looks great under a leather jacket, I love clashing textures! Next up was this floaty floral print skirt, which is just the most beautifully flattering shape – I love skirt with some length to them. Keeping it to my traditional ‘heavy shoes’ love, I popped these strappy sandals in my basket, just to rock it up a little. Last but by no means least, a big glam hat. I love hats, and this brown one was different to what I’d been seeing in stores recently – it’s a beautiful colour that will go with literally any outfit, and it also sits pretty comfy on that hat of mine!

What era would you love to channel? Let me know in the comments!

I’m wearing:
Top | Skirt | Shoes | Hat – all from New Look

Love the collocation – simple and lovely!

I love your necklace! I have one a bit similar and it just goes with everything! xx

I am loving this look on you—especially the floppy hat <3

I have noticed that there are a lot of 70s inspired pieces in store at the moment and I love all of these picks! The lace top is especially pretty 🙂 x

Charlotte’s Road

This is a very pretty outfit and that skirt is adorable.
