I love a good ol’ peplum, me and this dress is a good example of a peplum done well.. black panelled sections (which by the way are extremely flattering) and a body-con style skirt, finished off nicely with a unique eye-catching pattern in a stunning neutral taupe.. great for a sensible evening outfit – you don’t always have to go bright and daring, after all. A dress like this is perfect because it is literally so easy to wear – because of the detailing, you don’t need to overdo it with piles of accessories, just simple black (or nude) shoes and a clutch bag and you’re ready to go. I styled my hair in a side-bun, sometimes I get bored of the typical topknot so styling it to the side just gives it a little twist – something a bit different is always nice.
So this weekend has been a little crazy to say the least.. yesterday I trotted back up to London, this time with some girl friends. We went to the Trafalgar Square pillow fight, had cocktails in Covent Garden and finished the day off by singing the Earth Song on the tube.. oh, and I vlogged all this too – arent you lucky! The vlog is currently uploading to my youtube channel, so keep an eye on that here!
Dress looks so gorgeous on you!
