So, Motel sent me along to London Fashion Weekend to report on the day for their blog. It was a great (but very cold!) day and I loved the atmosphere of Somerset House! I was very lucky and got to choose a dress from the Motel collection and I chose this striped, monochrome baby-doll dress – I liked it especially because it is slightly over-sized and can therefore be dressed up or down. As you might also know, I do love a pattern clash, so I paired it with my trusty Tartan coat and some lovely spotted tights from The Tights House – this seemed to go down well and I even got street snapped by More and ELLE magazine, definitely a highlight of the day!
The catwalk show was also great and featured four trends for the SS13 season – Urban Lifestyle, Dolls House, Eastern Promise and Graphic Art – if you want to see photos and a little more write-up of the show then head on over to the Motel blog to read my report on the day!
Being photographed by Elle & More magazine.
Motel also asked me to snap some street style photos, London Fashion Weekend is such a great place to do this – so many stylish people! It’s an amazing place to pick up new ideas and styles. Above are a few of my favourites.. I was loving the tartan (obviously!) so I really liked this cool guy’s bomber style jacket as well as how this girl has added a splash of colour to her black coat with a tartan scarf – I definitely think tartan will be staying around for a while longer yet! Lastly I really liked the hint of bright blue by wearing cropped trousers under a long cape-coat paired with some trusty leather gloves, and then the traditional black jacket with a grey snood and the amazing Topshop Acne boots!
Lastly, a massive thank you to Motel for sending me along to Somerset House – it was a great day! Also a massive thank you to the lovely Lisa for being my trusty photographer and partner in shopping-crime for the day!
